BETTER BALANCE WORKSHOP

Mondays, 12:30 pm - 1:15 pm. Session starts September 13, ends October 18.

Learn specific exercise techniques that are proven to reduce the risk of falls, improve range of movement and balance. Instructor is Kitty Runzheimer, ACE Certified Trainer, Senior Fitness Specialist.

TWO OVERNIGHT EVENTS

Hike Sunday, September 26 – Wednesday, September 29

Our hike takes place on the North Shore on the banks along Lake Superior. The walking pace is comfortable with frequent rest breaks. Trail lunches are provided. Open to ages 18 and over. See page 6 in the August newsletter for more information.

Trip Tuesday, September 21 and Wednesday, September 22

Our trip is an overnighter in Mason City, Iowa. Stops include Music Man Square and House, tour of the Decker House and Stockman House (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright), the Surf Ballroom and a cruise on Clear Lake. See page 8 in August newsletter for more information. Sign up by September 7

PING PONG LESSONS

Thursdays, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Instructor Patrick McKown is skilled at leading groups of varying abilities through the basics of Table Tennis Play. Our center offers 8 hours a week of Open Ping Pong Play. Why not give it a try? Fee per session: Non members $55.00, members $42.00.

BEGINNING SPANISH

Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 21 - 30, 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

You will learn the sounds of Spanish, patterns for recognizing words that share the same root in English and Spanish. Register at the center. Fee is $40.00. Teacher: Marj Evans-deCarpio
